The first round of 4th Metro International started with a terrific bang–a 25 move win over one of my main rivals, IM Andranik Matikozyan! The game started as a Sicilian Najdorf, but morphed into a sort of Scheveningen/Hedgehog structure–but when Black took too long to castle, I took the fight to my opponent’s king–the sac at f7 was absolutely decisive.
