I needed to win against IM Stopa in the last round to tie for second. The game started well when I obtained an excellent position for a pawn, in a very complicated struggle, that nonetheless favored Black. Indeed, 25… g5! wins the pawn back while Black maintains the attack–but I mistimed the break by one move, which was fatal.
A learning experience!
